SOUP WATER BREAD

HSCB Hosts:

Sat 8 June 12-6 Bank open.

12-2 SOUP WATER BREAD

Inspired by the generosity of artists across the world the drawing shed has kicked off a monthly artist-led soup kitchen to share conversations about art, culture and community during 2019 .

On Sat 8 June it will be hosted at Hoe Street Central Bank and focus on the economics and value of art.

Travelling the distance across the Year of London Borough of Culture Soup, Water, Bread becomes the first regular critical space for artists to shape, lead and discuss the diversity of contemporary arts practice in our communities and will feed into the legacy for culture in Waltham Forest.  Soup, Water, Bread is curated by an open group of artists across the borough – see Instagram @SoupWaterBread

This artist soup kitchen is free, sits in the commons and is led by different artists every month, handing on the baton,it belongs to us all! With much thanks to Organiclea for the Veg Box and Today Bread and One Hoe St as @SoupWaterBread partners.

One Hoe Street E17 4SD and venues across the Waltham Forest, Second Saturday Every Month, 12 Noon till 2pm 2019

The Bank is approx 110 metres from Walthamstow Central train and tube station.

The only two road crossings you need to make along the way from station to venue are both proper pedestrial crossings with green man/red man lights and with step-free access from the pavement.

The front doors to the Bank when open at their widest provide a gap of 88cm. There are no steps or other obstacles, There is a gentle slope up from the front door into the main area which is entirely flat.

Unfortunately the venue does not have accessible toilets. Cubicles are small and accessing them requires getting through a doorway gap of 62cm. Toilet seats are 44cm, and sinks are 86cm, above ground.

We do not have central heating and as such the space can be quite cold at times. We will have blankets on hand for any visitor who wants one during their time in the bank.
